in and around The Peak on Hong Kong Island. We have never been on holiday or visited anywhere
remotely like Hong Kong - there are just so many people moving around wherever you go,
then there are the incredible skyscrapers and skyline plus shops selling anything you could want.
And yet it's surprisingly easy to leave the hustle and bustle of Kowloon and Victoria Harbour and find

China's Lantau Island - all about our trip over from Hong Kong to Lantau where we enjoyed a spot of sightseeing as we visited the world famous Big Buddha ( Tian Tan Buddha ) and the beautiful Po Lin Monastery (which is a Buddhist retreat). Once we had finished looking around this really interesting area we took a bus on down to the old Chinese fishing village of Tai O. Republic
of Singapore Holiday and Travel Guide - Singapore is an amazing island to visit - it is also a
good choice for a stopover for a few days if you are heading out on the really
long trip/flight from Europe to perhaps New Zealand, Indonesia or Australia. We have some

The Gili Islands. These tiny Indonesian Islands
are located fairly close to Lombok and just a few hours ferry ride from Bali -
there are three islands in the group with Gili Trawangan being the largest.
There are excellent water sports, beautiful beaches and you can enjoy a really
laid back holiday if you wish whilst staying on holiday on one of these islands
Bintan is another of Indonesia's beautiful tropical

Batam. The small but fairly well populated Indonesia
island of Batam is now getting increasingly popular as a choice for long distance holiday
makers from Europe - it's been a regular holiday destination with Australians for some years of
